Get to Know Kareen, Her Mission & Passions
ABOUT ME
Kareen Robbins MS OTR/L, SIPT
With over 36 years of experience as a pediatric Occupational Therapist, Kareen has primarily provided services in schools, as well as outpatient clinics and in homes. She has been certified to administer the Sensory Integration Praxis Test (SIPT) and has been formally trained in Ayres SI® for over 30 years.
She graduated from Temple University with a BS in Occupational Therapy and an MS in Occupational Therapy with a specialty in pediatrics. During her graduate coursework, she was trained and mentored by two phenomenal OTRs who worked directly with Dr. A. Jean Ayres.
Kareen has practiced throughout Pennsylvania and Ohio, in both urban and rural school districts, as both an employee and an independent contractor. She has held caseloads of various sizes, worked with many amazing COTA interdisciplinary teams to serve children.
She received her Educational Administration license and established a growing team of OTs, PTs, SLPs, and many more. Following retirement from this role, Kareen currently provides continuing education, consulting, and mentoring services internationally. Kareen is passionate about bridging the gap between knowledge and clinical practice to increase the confidence of related service providers, especially in the school-based provision of occupational therapy services, sensory integration, and tiered intervention. One of the many professional passions she holds is for all teachers and parents to learn AYRES SI® principles to support children beyond the "OT room". Also close to Kareen's heart are her grandbabies, the Philadelphia Eagles and Phillies, and anything Disney. Please feel free to reach out at kareenrobbinsot@gmail.

Our purpose is to equip, empower, and provide learning opportunities for occupational therapists, educators, and families to thrive and be confident in supporting children to engage, participate, and learn in school, at home, and within the community.
OUR VISION AND PASSION
1. Support Occupational Therapists to learn, grow, and be confident in providing services to children by bridging the gap of knowledge and clinical reasoning skills.
3. Support and Educate Occupational Therapists, Teachers, and all professionals in the school setting, parents and families, and all those working with children to understand sensory integration (Ayres SI ®) for optimal outcomes of all children to learn, be engaged, and participate in the world around them.
2. Empower school-based Occupational Therapists to be creative and resourceful to help all children through tiered intervention instruction.

In a data-driven profession, the impact of our mission, values, and passions is important to document. Kareen is always engaged with others to receive honest and constructive feedback, allowing for the most optimal delivery of services. These services include continuing education courses, mentoring programs, developing resources and tools, as well as occupational therapy services and consultation.
